"Nappy" hair is specifically used when speaking about the hair of black people, from the collection "The Hair That They Wear", artist Avrion created "Nappy Roots" to give a new visualization to the term. Thus including usage of mixed media with epoxy, wood, textures and burning of wood to add intricate detailing with perfect placement of tree bark as black people are rooted in their idenity.
